Terms of service

What TikiT is

TikiT is a marketplace for events in Sierra Leone. Organizers list events and sell tickets; attendees discover events and buy or reserve tickets. Events themselves are run by their organizers — TikiT provides the listing, ticketing, and payment rails.

Tickets and payment

A ticket reference is valid for one admission per quantity purchased and is checked in once at the door. When online payment is available, the total you see at checkout includes the ticket price plus a 3% service fee. Where online payment is not available, you can reserve a spot and pay cash at the door — your reservation is held but admission requires payment.

Cancellations and refunds

Refunds for cancelled or changed events are the responsibility of the event organizer. If an event is cancelled, contact the organizer first; if you paid online and can't reach them, contact us and we will help mediate. The service fee is non-refundable except where the law requires otherwise.

Organizers

Organizer accounts are approved manually. By listing an event you confirm the details are accurate, you have the right to sell admission, and you will honor valid tickets. Listings that are misleading, unlawful, or unsafe will be removed and the account may be suspended.

Acceptable use

Don't abuse the platform: no false reviews, no scraping or interference with the service, no reselling tickets at inflated prices, no using TikiT for anything unlawful. We may suspend accounts that do.

Liability

TikiT provides the platform "as is". We are not responsible for the conduct of organizers or attendees at events, and our liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid through the platform for the ticket concerned.

Changes

We may update these terms as the product evolves. The date above reflects the latest revision; significant changes will be announced by email.
